Did you know?

Alzheimer’s accounts for up to 80% of dementia cases, often beginning with mild forgetfulness before progressing to more severe symptoms.

Understanding Alzheimer's & Dementia

Alzheimer’s & Dementia are progressive neurological disorders marked by memory loss, impaired thinking, and changes in behavior. These conditions disrupt communication between brain cells, leading to gradual loss of independence and daily functioning. Over time, the accumulation of abnormal proteins and chronic inflammation can damage neurons and reduce brain volume. The result is a spectrum of symptoms that may start subtly and worsen as the disease advances.

Common triggers include aging, genetic factors, cardiovascular issues, and lifestyle habits such as inactivity or poor diet. Managing Alzheimer’s & Dementia often involves a combination of medication, supportive therapies, and lifestyle changes to help slow progression. Early recognition of symptoms allows for timely interventions and planning. Support for caregivers and a focus on overall well-being are key elements in responsible management.

Symptoms of Alzheimer's & Dementia

Early symptoms of Alzheimer’s & Dementia often include mild forgetfulness, difficulty finding words, and trouble with problem-solving. Individuals may notice increased confusion or disorientation in familiar settings. These changes can make it challenging to manage daily tasks and maintain independence. Family members might observe subtle shifts in mood or personality as well.

As the condition progresses, symptoms typically become more pronounced. People may experience significant memory loss, inability to recognize loved ones, and language difficulties. Impaired judgment and changes in behavior, such as agitation or withdrawal, are also common. These developments can place a growing burden on caregivers and families.

In advanced stages, individuals may lose the ability to communicate or perform basic self-care. Complete dependence on others for daily needs often occurs. Sleep disturbances, anxiety, and depression may accompany cognitive decline. Continuous support and supervision are usually required to ensure safety and comfort.

Traditional Treatments

Standard treatment for Alzheimer's & Dementia focuses on slowing disease progression and managing symptoms. Medications such as cholinesterase inhibitors and memantine are commonly prescribed to help with memory and cognitive function. Non-drug approaches, including behavioral therapies and environmental modifications, support independence and quality of life. Lifestyle interventions like a brain-healthy diet, regular exercise, and mental stimulation are also encouraged.

Supportive care addresses associated challenges such as sleep disturbances, depression, and caregiver stress. Early planning and access to resources can improve outcomes for both individuals and families. While there is currently no cure, a comprehensive care plan tailored to each person's needs offers the best chance for maintaining function and well-being. Integrative therapies may be considered as part of a holistic approach.

How IV Therapy May Help

The DRIPBaR provides IV therapies that deliver nutrients directly into the bloodstream, supporting brain health and cognitive function. These therapies focus on hydration, antioxidant support, and mitochondrial health, which may help reduce oxidative stress and promote cellular repair. By offering controlled dosing and professional supervision, we prioritize safety and comfort for every client. Many individuals notice improvements in mental clarity and energy over time, though results can vary.

Our services are designed to complement traditional care and provide an additional layer of support for those managing cognitive changes. Some benefits, such as improved hydration or reduced brain fog, may be noticed soon after starting therapy, while others, like enhanced resilience or long-term brain health, may develop gradually. We encourage open communication and regular check-ins to help set realistic expectations. Our goal is to empower clients and caregivers with accessible options for proactive wellness.

Nutrient Support for Cognitive Health

Certain IV therapies offer targeted nutrients that may help support brain function and reduce oxidative stress. These options are designed to complement traditional care and promote overall neurological wellness. Personalized plans are available to address individual needs.

NAD+

Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) IV therapy delivers a vital coenzyme directly into the bloodstream to support energy production and neurological function. NAD+ plays a key role in mitochondrial respiration, DNA repair, and cellular metabolism. This therapy helps reduce fatigue and oxidative stress while enhancing mental clarity and cognitive flexibility. By replenishing NAD+ levels, it supports healthy aging and cellular resilience. The infusion bypasses digestive limitations for rapid absorption and effective metabolic restoration. This treatment is suitable for individuals seeking to improve vitality and brain health through targeted metabolic support.
Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) IV therapy supports cellular energy and neurological health. It replenishes essential cofactors like NAD+ to boost mitochondrial function and DNA repair. This infusion promotes mental clarity, reduces fatigue, and helps maintain oxidative balance for overall wellness.

Nicotinamide Riboside (NR)

Nicotinamide Riboside (NR) is delivered intravenously to support cellular energy production and mitochondrial function. By increasing NAD+ levels, it enhances metabolic processes and promotes DNA repair. This therapy supports mental clarity and helps reduce oxidative stress. It is designed for individuals seeking to improve stamina and cognitive performance. The treatment offers a targeted approach to maintaining vitality and overall wellness.

I always have such a great experience at DRIPBaR Huebner Oaks! The front desk staff is incredibly sweet, welcoming, and attentive every time I come in. I especially love going when Monica is there, she is amazing. I’ve had some not-so-great experiences in the past with IVs, but Monica is so skilled that you barely even feel it. She’s gentle, professional, and really knows what she’s doing. On top of that, she’s just the kindest person, she makes you feel completely at ease from start to finish. This is my go-to spot for Liquid IVs, especially before traveling to stay healthy. Highly recommend!
